$50 19th Century Wooden Firkin w/ Original Yellow Paint

Early wooden Firkin, sugar bucket, with original butter colored paint. The bucket has not been retouched or repaired. It is still in it's original condition. Measures 10" tall without handle and 15 " with handle. Top opening is approximately 9" with the base approximately 10". The internal depth of the bucket is 8 1/2". The staves are tongue and grooved and measure approximately 11/2" thick. The two wooden bands are finger lapped and attached by the original copper tacks. The bentwood handle is attached by mushroom caps. Overall condition is very good with expected wear due to age and use. The workmanship of this Firkin would make any cooper proud.
